Roman Ondák (1966) is one of the most prominent representatives of neo-conceptual strategies of the last decade. With his unique artistic sensibility, he uses reality of the world around us, which he re- creates and modifies through various interventions. His works, installations or environments are often transitory and ephemeral. Roman Ondák graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, during the years 2007 - 2008 he was in a DAAD scholarship in Berlin and he has presented his projects at individual exhibitions, among others in the Cologne Kunstverein, Tate Modern in London, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in New York and at the Venice Biennale etc.
