Marie Canet is a film curator, critic and professor of aesthetic at Lyon's École Nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts. She has collaborated with numerous institutions such as the Centre Pompidou, Paris (Architecture de film en 2011), SongEun ArtSpace and Ricard Foundation, Seoul (Me and You in a Living Room, 2014), Passerelle, Brest (Bruno Pélassy, 2015) the South London Gallery, London (Back and Forth, 2013), Tate Modern, London (The Square, the Line and the Light, 2010) and Frac Aquitaine, Bordeaux (Ahoy, an Island! 2011). In 2011, she published Posture and High Heels (Toasting Agency / Strenberg Press), Bruno Pelassy, HIV+Cinema., Charlemagne Palestine (Les presses du Réel) was published in 2016. She is currently working on a new book: Queer, A Critical Theory Post-Enlightenments (to be published in 2017).
